Strategic Thinking for Professionals & Internal Consultants
“Good is the enemy of great.” – Jim Collins
Length/Product Type
2 Hour Course
Targeted Audience
Internal consultants, professionals, or professional managers working inside organizations.
Description
Professionals inside organizations, often called internal consultants, are working more diligently than ever. Yet there’s work insecurity, threat of job loss, and work stress. This module will give professionals the tools to align their roles so that they are valued, recognized and considered key to the lifeblood of their organization. The foundation of such a valued role is strategic thinking about who you are and how you contribute to the success of your clients and your organization.
Just as organizations are being pressured by their environments to be more strategic; similarly, professionals and internal consultants are expected to think and act more strategically. To be strategic professionally means thoroughly understanding what to say “yes” and “no” to; as well as which professional services to market. Strategic thinking requires professionals/internal consultants to be able to say “no” to low-value work. Professionals cannot say “no” successfully, until they know what they should say “yes” to.
