One of the most critical components of employee engagement that managers can directly influence is the level of employee involvement. Through our actions and behaviors, managers can create an environment where employees feel engaged through their ability to play an active role in influencing not only their work, but the work of the team, the leader and the organization. This requires a manager that is able to balance the challenges of making things happen while supporting personal freedom.
